Good morning. Playing again today is not an option after 4 hours spent on DW last night :(

This was an unusual game, with 11 players in a stable session. What I liked was the general level of discipline, adherence to the ROE and the sense of taking part in a large battle.

There were a couple of things I didn't like, too - first of all, my usual complaint - a lot of events driven by the AI units (e.g. missile boats on the YELLOW side). One little remark concerning the "ZERO hour", or a signal to begin offensive actions. The moment the missiles started flying, I had no indication that the BLUE had opened fire. Which is a pity, as I had good solutions on two BLUE subs close by. I guess a suitable trigger with a short info script are easy to implement. Due to the scale of the battle it was sometimes hard to figure out what exactly was going on.
Victor-III was en experiment for me. I had to do half the TMA work myself, since the TA sonar trackers were crap. But its single-shot Sunburn missile proved very effective agaist Ron's FFG.

Thanks for the game!

The ai broke the ROE i beleave, blue defended and returned fire on the surface ship that shot, wich you red as a torpedo away.

And the same counted for me, i had spotted dobbe, but didnt fire because of ROE..

in all, its a nice scenario, but i prefer a bit more simple and shorter.. my fav ones are still kilo vs FFG, no helo's etc.. These large maps, with big ship mixes and looong play time are always full or risks. Still fun, but you risk people beeing pretty much left out of the fight.

thanks though, gg

yep, nice game, good map for many players and interesting and complicate to follow, like that. i had to be pationed to see the targets passing by and not alllowed to shoot, that blurred my vision a little bit.

fun game, would like to replay some more times sometime in the future.

gg, thx

not AI, first fire was from BLUE at RED Tu-142

You've been permited to engage when BLUE passed the line or opened fire (RoE). I guess than You just decided to wait for order from YELLOW side -am I right? :)

yes, yes, your right. there was some roumor in team chat to wait or not to, so some (most) of us were unsure and waited.

next game i will polish my glasses for better and clear vision.

just to say: it didn`t change in any way the suspens in the game, perhaps it made even more suspens to play.

a fun game with lots of players, good map, complex and great scenarioand, my blurred glasses - what do i need more. pure fun!

Spending so many hours in front of the monitor were definitely worth it. I had great time playing with you. Thanks for patience before the game - this session wasn't so easy to start properly :)

Run Gamespy, create account. Program should find that you have DW installed. Close adds and click on DW icon in left menu. That's all. We wait for you ! :)

Bienvenue :)

There is a general DW room in GameSpy called Dangerous Waters. You can't miss it.
We organize game sessions through this forum, sometimes with players who don't use GameSpy, too.

Good luck and we hope to sink you soon :)
