| It's not a bug. It's describe in Ra manual. MK-48 are changing searching mode when contact is losted. |

Hi Whiskey,
I did not find any information related to ADCAP torp fiered on active mode and switching to passive mode automatically. perhaps you could quote the lines from the RA_mod manual relating to this function?
Regards,

Here you go:
** - After loss of contact, torpedo 20-30 seconds continue to move by the current course, then
will carry out a circular sample of search (In Any Random Side – port or starboard), for attempt
of repeated reception of contact.
In case the repeated contact is not received - torpedo will continue cruise in that course, on
which she was at the moment of the discontinuance reattack option.
(from RA manual, page 5) |

Thanks whiskey, I did read these lines in the manual but they do not state clearly that torpedo will switch to passive after losing track. Lets suppose for a moment that RA modders did want the torp to go passive after losing the initial contact, so it checks for nearby contacts. Should it not go active again once it has readquired ?
On the other side, If torp is on real passive mode, then it will be interesting to see if it readquire while sub is out of passive adquisition range and at full stop...?
If yes, then only way to avoid torp will be to plot it's course on the TMA and check for progress on sonar... not easy in a busy environnement...
I am not registered at redrogers, but I still belive it will be interesting to ask Goldorak about this possible issue, just to make sure and save time.
Regards,
Lau |

It does. Why you do you think that torpedo is going to passive after target lost ? |

I'm after many tests. This is awesome !!
Number of changes is amazing. Few important changes fo Udaloy.
German Type 212 is so quiet that even Ka-27 has difficulties to detect it.
Torpedos work fine. Setting up the depth of torpedo is necessary to hit the target.
I haven't tested everything but by now I'm impressed...
till the time I will find any important bug :) |

| Frankly speaking it could be cool if we have some DDG controlled. |
