Hello DW community!

It's over 2 years since we started DangerousWaters.PL Community, and it's good time to do some changes around here.

Some modifications are already done, some you will be able to see soon. I decided not to allow you to post replies here just not to make this topic too long. It's nature was to be informative, not discussed about.

Changes done:

1. Forum updated
- this increases security and flexibility of used forum system
- forum is optimized and reponses quicker to your actions

2. Registration
- registration is now more secure (thanks to new 'captcha' mechanism) and it requires activation via email

3. Functionality
- forum is now able to send emails from administrative account with certain informations - this has been disabled mainly for security reasons
- some new functions added - mainly for administrative purposes

Changes planned:

1. Total rebuild of a website
- we plan to move to efficient CMS system which would make our work easier
- all players will be able to log into the website with their current credentials
- new visual identity of DW.PL

2. New functionality
- fully customized time-table
- a game session 'countdown' system - no more calculating time zones
- game session block - all information reachable at main site - no need to dig into forum - get all informations quick
- all website splitted logically into easy-to-navigate sections

..and many more.

Hello,

I would like to inform you, that DW.PL was moved to different Internet Service Provider. Current link should provide better stability, more efficient peerings and low latencies.

Current bandwidth allocated: symmetrical 8/8 Mbit.
Within approx. 6 months link will be changed to 100/100 Mbit (zoooom! :))
